AWB’s performance of “Disney’s the Jungle Book” is Supported by a Quality of Life Grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
On May 6, 2014, AWB was honored by the Inglis Board of Directors and received the Inglis Award for Continuing Excellence (ACE). This award was given to four nonprofit organizations in the Greater Delaware Valley that provide direct services, products, and/or advocacy for people with physical disabilities.
The ACE award has allowed AWB to expand the network of people we serve as both members of our organization and disability awareness education within our community. As well as allowed us to include more social opportunities for our performers.
Transforming lives and building self-esteem in an empowering community of people with physical disabilities through theater that celebrates ability.
Christine Rouse, Founder and Executive Director of AWB, created Acting Without Boundaries in 2004 because of her personal experiences growing up with Cerebral Palsy. Since 1991, Christine has been a source of inspiration and motivation for thousands of children through her disabled awareness educational workshop, Kids are Kids.
